Aled Jones Williams is a playwright, writer and poet who caused a stir in 2008 with his play Iesu! that depicted Jesus as female. He’s won Eisteddfod competitions in 1994, 1995 and 1996 for his plays Dyn Llnau Bogs, Pêl Goch and Cnawd. His novels Rhaid i Ti Fyned y Daith Honno Dy Hun (Pantycelyn, 2001), Ychydig Is Na’r Angylion (Gwasg y Bwthyn, 2006) and Eneidiau (Carreg Gwalch, 2013), were all long-listed for Wales Book of the Year. In 2002, Aled won the Crown at the National Eisteddfod for his poetry, Awelon.
