Manon Rhys has published many volumes of prose, including novels Cysgodion (1993) and Tridiau ac Angladd Cocrotshen (1996), a collection of stories, Cornel Aur (2009), a novel Rara Avis (2006), as well its sequel Ad Astra (2013). She won the Prose Medal at the National Eisteddfod in Wrexham in 2011 for her novel Neb ond Ni. Earning a living from scriptwriting for television, including Pobol y Cwm and Y Palmant Aur, she has also been a scriptwriting and creative writing tutor at the Welsh Department of Cardiff University. A regular Tŷ Newydd tutor, she has adjudicated the Prose Medal on several occasions and was co-editor of Taliesin literary magazine with Christine James. The highlight of her creative career so far is winning the Crown at the National Eisteddfod at Maldwyn a’r Gororau in 2015.
