Karen Owen has worked as a journalist for 20 years. She is a former editor of the current affairs magazine Golwg and currently a reporter for Y Cymro and the online news hub Golwg360. Karen was brought up in Dyffyn Nantlle, and after studying maths in Bangor decided to follow a completely different path, turning to journalism. She also spent three years as an editor of BBC Cymru’s religious programmes. As a poet, she runs cynghanedd classes and has published three collections. Karen is the captain of the Y Rhelyw talwrn team on BBC Radio Cymru.
