Dyfed Edwards

Originally from Anglesey, Dyfed Edwards, now lives in Kent. He’s published over 20 novels and non-fiction work in both Welsh and English, including Apostol (Gwasg y Bwthyn, 2019) and Iddew (Gwasg y Bwthyn, 2016) which was shortlisted for the Wales Book of the Year award, and described by the National Eisteddfod’s Daniel Owen Memorial Prize Judges as “work of a genius”. After starting his career with the Herald newspapers, he went on to be a journalist for over 20 years. He won the Drama Medal at the National Eisteddfod twice, firstly at Cardiff in 2008 and then the following year at Bala. He occasionally teaches creative writing at Canterbury Christ Church University, and his English-language work is published under the pseudonym Thomas Emson.
