12.00 pm– 1.30 pm Friday 25 February 2022

Join us for a quick introduction on how to go about starting to write your first novel. From planning, to research, to creating back-stories for your credible characters, to figuring out your plot, structure and exploring genres, Hammad Rind, who published his debut novel this year will set you on the correct path, and answer your questions. You will leave the course with a renewed energy and ideas on how to get started. The workshop will last an hour, but time has been set aside to settle in at the beginning to ask questions, and for discussions with your fellow writers at the end.

The Tŷ Newydd taster courses series will offer a whistle-stop tour of various genres and themes in both English and Welsh, to continue to inspire your writing during the winter months. Participant numbers for each taster course will be capped at 20, and the course will be delivered through the video platform Zoom. We hope to welcome you to Tŷ Newydd Writing Centre when we reopen our doors in 2022, where we offer a programme of day-long, weekend and week-long residential courses at our beautiful house in Llanystumdwy.

If the fee for this course is restricting you from attending, please visit our Financial Support page for advice.
