Digital Taster Course: Starting to Write: Tips for new Writers
12.00 pm – 1.30 pm
Join Catherine Johnson for an hour-long digital workshop offering advice for new writers. What would those experienced writers wish someone had told them at the beginning of their careers? What to do, and what not to do? This course is suitable for prose writers writing for children, YA, adults, and scriptwriters. You will leave the course with a knack on how to go about your writing anew. Time has been set aside to settle in at the beginning, to ask questions, and for discussions with your co-writers at the end.
The Tŷ Newydd taster courses series will offer a whistle-stop tour of various genres and themes in both English and Welsh, to continue to inspire your writing during the lockdown. Participant numbers for each taster course will be capped at 16, and the course will be delivered through the video platform Zoom. We hope to welcome you to Tŷ Newydd Writing Centre when we reopen our doors, where we offer a programme of day-long, weekend and week-long residential courses at our wonderful house in Llanystumdwy.
