It may be an ancient form of storytelling, but how do you make your words and images work together to best tell your story? Spend a weekend exploring the medium’s potential: from scripting and structuring in order to hit those emotional beats to using the pacing, panel transitions and the very mechanics of comics to make the invisible in the narrative visible. We’ll look at ways to develop character and plot within a visual framework and still be home in time for dinner. Open to people of all experience levels who have a comic project they would like to concentrate on, be it the kernel of an idea or scripted graphic masterpiece, fiction or non-fiction.
